I think there'd have been some confusion there Sahil sir but I'm sure the Volvo goes via Chandigarh. I myself took took it from Manali to Chandigarh this Monday to catch KSK from CDG onwards. Here's my ticket.
I'm not sure about the Delhi to Manali direction (probably that way it does by-pass) but this way, at least two volvos if not all three do pass through CDG.
Yes it dropped me somewhere in the outskirts of the city (25 mins from the station) but it did have a stop.

Not talking about Himsuta, Himsuta service is from HRTC and it does have some standardised halts in between. My bad, Talking about non-stop volvo service which is a HPTDC service and bypasses Chandigarh since it only issues tickets end to end. It starts behind Chandralok Building from Janpath and terminates also there only.

HRTC will not skip Cdg, but HPTDC may skip and follow Ambala-Banur-Kharar-Ropar route which saves 40 kms odd or so.
Oh I didn't know that! In fact while HRTC buses buses find their names everywhere from bus stations to websites, I personally felt that HPTDC doesn't have THAT elaborate a publicity, for a first time visitor like me couldn't find any means to book it offline!
Nevertheless, thanks for adding another option to my knowledge. (y)
PS: At the same time in a different context I'd say HPTDC's residential hotel 'The UHL' at Joginder Nagar impressed me to the core. Pretty decent services at reasonable prices.

Yes, initially even i was hesistant to book HPTDC volvo, but was impressed to the core. Plus Manali-New Delhi(Janpath) was done in flat 11hr 15 mins, which is easily 2-3 hrs faster than normal bus service.
