When you are using indian railways application SPOT YOUR TRAIN (ntes), there is total distance shown as 1540 km but actually distance is 1278 km from LTT to ERS. Why it is showing wrong information ?
Railway inflates distance to recover extra cost of construction/operation.
Passenger fares in Konkan railway is inflated by 40%. This is done by adjusting the kilometers in those route.
