is there a way to calculate the telescopic fare between 2 stations ?

Check Andaman Fares for Senior Citizen male for 3AC its Rs.1040... So just add SF charges for 3AC Rs.45/- so gives the figure of your father's ticket fare.
very true ...so normal 3ac ticket would cost 1745 from jat to NGP ...while if i book 2 tickets in 3ac separately then it would come to 1355+920 = 2275 ...so telescopic benefit amounts to 530 ...a very good value ...1060 would be saved for a return journey ...

yes absolutely ...but pity that same telescopic facility is not provided online..for the journey from NGP to JAT i would try either kerala + shri shakti or Samta + Uttar SK ...kerala is regret in 3ac and hence an issue ...
