Will it be possible to board a train without a E-Ticket in printed form? I mean to ask, Tomorrow I am about to go to Chennai (from Bangalore) in Lalbagh Express. I've booked my ticket online, but due to some network issues I am not able to get the ticket printed. However I've received SMS alert & I do have my ID card. Can I have the rights to board the train, with out the ticket printout?
Yes you can. TTE will issue a Excess Fare Ticket by taking Rs 50 from you. Make sure you carry the ID, coach details and the PNR number.

Please make sure you do NOT pay fine even one asks you. There is a rule that TTE will issue a ticket. Not everyone on this earth has a printer access !!!
