This train is not convenient one for Kerala to Mumbai passengers. This acts as a link train from Kerala to TN/ AP, TN/ AP to Mumbai, KA to Mumbai.
Can some experts throw some light on possibility of diverting the train from SA via SBC/YPR/KJM-DMM-GTL route? For the missing link, TVC/ ERS-HYB via TPTY-GTL-MBNR can be started. For Mumbai-RU passengers, an additional train to Chennai can be added in the slot vacant. I feel atleast 2 rakes can become free.

No loss will be there to Pune/ SUR passengers to SA-CBE-Kerala-CAPE. In fact, Jayanti Janata is diverted via GTL-DMM-KJM-TPT, the distance will be less by 90 kms, means 2 hours journey time savings. Can additionally act as a connectivity starved Karnataka areas also.
The reason for Pune/ SUR passengers preferring JJ is that there is no other daily train. If convenient train is given, this will be beneficial to all.
