i heard from my freind that due to this miraj pandharpur broadgauge goa to kolkata and goa to nagpur will be a shortest distance.is it correct?

why dont you do the exercise as suggested by bloger 128641-5 and get the real pic instead of maps? Via miraj gives no clear advantage. there migh be requirent may be for a weekly train via that route. Dont refute that. But its not "THE" route to connect Goa with north and east india especially when a lot of the trackege is not doubled is a train were to be routed that way. So may be you need to realistic if you want to have a positive discussion and as such confront reality and stay away from fantasy.
