Extracts from important document of Railway Electrification :
"Rajpura-Bhatinda section popularly known as RBR section connects Bhatinda with ‘B’ route at Rajpura. A major reason for electrification of this route is that once DFC comes up, coal to two thermal stations viz., Guru Hargovind Thermal Power Station at Lehra Muhabbat section & Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Power Station at Bathinda will move via Eastern DFC and then move on RBR via Rajpura."
