Travelled on 27/11/2014 (Dep 1744 hrs) from VSKP to Surat by 18501 VSKP GIMB Exp Coach S2 The composition of train was ENG SLR UR UR 2AC 3AC B1 B2 S2 PC S3 to S9 UR UR SLR Train halted at Udvada for 10 mts before arriving in time at 2340 hrs on Jan 28 at Surat
Yes It was night I was eager to get out to Surat Retiring Room (RR) booked & I have erred. The train halted on PF 1 at Surat. Getting to RR was difficult climbing two floors of the old bldg which is equal to 4 floors in new bldgs The old lift was not working. The RR personnel made me get down to take endorsement on my RR Resv Slip fm Enquiry Counter which was flooded with passengers. At last I got signature fm the Enq Staff at 0005 hrs (Nov 29) & climbed to RR again. Now-a-days as passengers reserve RRs online, the Station Staff at Stns where computers break down do not give RRs to passengers without prior RR bookings as they are not aware if the vacant RRs are booked by someone else or not . To be on the safeside, they allow the RRs to remain vacant...
