Train cannot go to Hosur from SBC when coming from Yesvantpur. This is not possible as the routes merge only on SBC-MYS line and not before SBC. It is better to reverse rake from Yesvantpur and let it take Hosur route rather than taking this to SBC.

how is this possible? SBC rajdhani goes via YPR, so it means the lines join at SBC.

SBC Rajdhani terminates at SBC. Routes from YPR to SBC go to PFs 8 to 10 and the other route go to PFs 1 to 7. These two routes merge after the SBC. You can try google maps to verify the same. I am a frequent traveller on this route
