Will there be any significant change in running time once the route becomes electrified? . No doubt for the railwys it will save lots of fuel cost, but would passengers benefit in any way through reduced running time once electrification is completed?
If the entire SRR-CLT-CAN-MAQ sketches will electrified, we can save around 40 minutes + 10 minutes at SRR (at present time taken for loco change at SRR)
Most probably Palghat division will conduct trail run on SRR-CLT routes on third week of Jan. And CRS will Inspect on last week of this month.
If line opened for public after electrification, we can get part benefit only, save 10 minutes.
Initially, Calicut Jan Shatabdi and some of the passenger train which terminated from Calicut will get the WAP's
Lets cross the fingers....

Even after completion they may find out some excuses...... so many stops, Konkan not electrified/doubled etc.. Now saying only after electrification more trains can be introduced.. Can see some other excuses for non-implementations for that also.........
Inspection of wheels........ Getting ready for the cleaning.....
