Hello ..can any one tell me the difference between tatkal ticket and premium ticket ...yesterday I tried booking tatkal ticket online ..I was unsuccesfull ..but I could see tickets in premium tatkal available for longer than normal ....so which is better and how to book ....please advice.

Premium tatkal is newly introduced by IR, as it is named premium tatkal you can assume that premium trains ticketing policy is applicable to this type of ticket-means DYNAMIC pricing, seats more-price low, seats less-price high, it doesn't have a particular fixed price but the normal tatkal ticket's price is fixed by IR.....
you mean to say the procedure is same for ticket booking in case of tatkal and premium tatkal .. ..but only price matters ? is it ?
Also, Whenever you want to book tatkal ticket @ 10 AM.. Go for premium Tatkal.. The price will be almost same as normal tatkal ticket. This will help you get confirmed ticket by paying "bit" extra for premium. This is what I do most of the time.
