Its better if this ICE is replaced by an express train with AC Coaches from MAQ-UBL, with some slip coaches added to UBL-SC Exp. Discussion for the same:

You may be right, how about entire UBL-SC-UBL train extension to MAQ via MAO. This will make sure hinterland connectivity of Karnataka with Coastal Karnataka.
Not only that, but cities like GR/SUR(HG)/BJP/BGK have connectivity to Goa

3 days a week to MRJ/PUNE and 4 days to UBL/SUR/GR will also work
Let UBL-SC-UBL be extended to VSG with speed up in timings reaching VSG by 10:00/10:30 and let there be a dedicated Night train from UBL-MAJN leaving UBL by 19:30,reaching MAJJN by 06:00
