Why does 13025 run from HWH-BRKA using a diesel traction inspite of having travelling through the 1st electrified route (HWH-DHN)?(Even DHN-CRP-BRKA is electrified, I mean why waste precious Diesel when an electric loco would provide the same, if not better service!
Same thing with Ranchi-Dumka intercity, an electric tration can easily work upto JSME, but no a BKSC WDM-3A hauls its straight from RNC to Dumka!

Blame the lethargic attitude of railways which needs to be mended as soon as possible...
Exactly that is what should be done!
Besides instead of blindly following ALCO/EMD/GM's loco design plans blindly,IR should try to build a totally indigenious diesel loco.
Look at what CLW has done WAP1,WAP2,WAP4,WAP7 were all build in India.
If Clw can do such a brilliant job,no reason why the DLW Varanasi can't?

Yes !! Even Shaktipunj exp gets electric locos between BRKA & HWH & in near future the whole CIC ( DHN - BRKA - SGRL ) is going to be electrified. So i think it's time to allot electric locos to these trains.
