i have a confirmed ticket for tommorrow's departure from Nagpur to bangalore for senior citizen , what would be the cancellation charges if i cancel the ticket now ...the cost of the ticket was 2900...

unfortunately the refund came as 1450 ....the ticket cost was 2920 ...this is 50% :( and not 25% ...dont no why ....can someone explain ...

AFAIK, the 25% and 50% thingie applies to tickets which are CANCELLED. Yours ain't cancelled. It's a TDR filed. In such a case, unfortunately 50% is what the refund amount will be.

yes, it's 50% of the fare which is refunded, as I had mentioned in my first reply(for TDR it's 50% of fare isrefunded if cancelled within 24hrs of scheduled departure of train)
