SWR zone juristriction also looks funny. From Chamarajanagar upto Hubli (excl) along with branch lines of Hassan-Mangaluru, Kadur-CMGR, Birur-Talaguppa and Chikjajur-Rayadurga (excl) is with Mysore divn. How can you expect justice from a person sitting in Mysuru to know such vast area and assess their requirements? Mysuru divn should be re-aligned properly reallocating areas to Hubli and SBC divisions.
Similar case with SBC divn. From Salem outer upto Dharmavaram Outer and upto JTJ excl and upto Mysuru excl is with SBC. No justice can be expected from SBC, as they would be concentrating only about Bengaluru.

not to talk about Hubli divn. Though they have compact area for their operation, they are not doing any justice to the public. Neglect, neglect and more neglect.
It is a shame that we do not have daily SWR train from Bengaluru and Mysuru to Mumbai.
It is again shame that though we live in a era of empowered legal tools, we have HMRDC agreement which prevents running of passenger trains between Hassan and Mangaluru.
It is a shame that we take things lightly and travel in Multi Axle Volvo rather than taking up with Railway authorities, who are plenty in our state (One state, 5 zones, many blunders!!).

Houdu sir. First n formost trains like Sangamitra etc in which hardly 1 percent kannada speaking people travel must be asked to run and maintain by their own zones. Just like NFR which runs so many trains to chennai, tvc, sc and sbc because the demand is from population based in their zone. But in places like kerla mumbai sector, Bangalore Mumbai sector or even bangalore chennai sector the movement is both sides so both zones run trains. Secondly some local person or karnataka cadre person should be involved at the highest levels of SWR especially when zone is lagging behind so much. Three like SR, politicians must force swr to run spl trains with in state and also force them to build new lines.

Exactly. No one prevented SWR to run trains from their area to Mumbai. When SWR is busy catering to TN/ KL, they forgot own public's requirements. See the way LTT-UBL and LTT-UBL via BJP TT are designed. It is a great insult for Hubli/ Belgaum/ Bijapur people that such trains are running with no use to them.
By the way, SWR is not interested in developing any area. They are happy with running trains to TN/ KL or eastern states. For Karnataka, anyway, Multiaxle Volvo buses are there!?!
