So, Patiala station bagged DRM award for maximum earning of Rs 200 cr , for year 2014-15 in the entire UMB division. You can refer to this blog post : /blog/post/1441620 . According to NR HQ, the route is already a profit route. They had told me in Jan 2015 , that the current ROR of this route .i.e. Rajpura-Patiala-Dhuri-Bathinda is +16% (Which currently include the freight trains only), that is why the Doubling and Electrification had been sanctioned for this section. #Patiala #Doubling #Electrification

According to tender, there are 31 33kv power lines of PSPCL crossing over railway track, and 11 need modification or removal. This shall be done by the same contractor only, and shall handover any leftout materials to PSPCL.
