Guntakal is a major junction but trains are now bypassing it to avoid reversal.like 12650 Karnataka Sampark kranti comes from kurnool Dhone n takes route of Pendekallu Gooty Kalluru to Bangalore.
The region is almost hot n dry. And looks deserted. Area after Kurnool esp Dhone Pendekallu Gooty KALLURU is rocky n deserted only.
Ignored by govn n railways also.
