RailFans don't miss their train. Why? Because they go to the station HOURS before the actual departure of their Train - to watch OTHER trains depart. - Prince Maan

I feel that Parasnath should be removed from the schedule of this train (12357/12358). Anyone is welcome to tell that why should this stoppage be retained? IRI Members can suggest any other stoppages (if they want to) that should be struck off from this train's schedule to speed it up. Thanks :-)

Tank Filling for Durgiana Express at Parasnath, Sasaram or Dehri instead of Mughalsarai or Lucknow... LOL ;-D
.
Your suggestions are innovative and interesting but I can tell you the ground situation of this train since I've traveled by it in Dec, 2012 when it skipped Parasnath at 100+ Kmph and had an unofficial stoppage at Varanasi in the Up Direction towards Amritsar. Our dinner was loaded at Asansol since there is no pantry in this train. The food supplying staff member told us that they will load the dinner next at Mughalsarai.

When we asked him to load it at Dhanbad or Gaya then he said that those stoppages were of small time duration so it was risky for them to leave the train. The same thing goes with the cleaning, our coaches were clean when it entered into KOAA Stn during departure and then the train (coach, toilets etc) was only cleaned next at Mughalsarai since it stops for 20-25 Minutes. The train became untidy with just 2 stoppages of Dhanbad and Gaya on it's KOAA-MGS Run. Dustbins were also absent in our 2nd AC Coach.... Just think that if this train would have run via Patna then an extra two hours of the travel time to MGS would have pressurized the train even more.... Grand Chord Zindabad :-)
