Actually in my experience only people from SC,China,Burma,Indonesia and other similar countries squat on toilet seats. Maybe few poor arabs and africans too. Developed asian countries like Japan,ROK,Singapore etc have long adapted to western style toilets.

Only some public toilets are squat type. At home they have hi-tech sit down toilets. I have lived in Japan for a while.
