2015-16 to have highest permanent augmentations ever

During budget Mr. Suresh Prabhu took a very good and brave decision of not announcing any new trains. He cited reasons of excessive saturation of tracks and paucity of stock. Earlier there were many old trains which were running in huge waiting list but could not be augmented because the coaches received by railway were used to start new trains. This decision by Prabhu worked really nicely for these old trains and in past months many trains have been permanently augmented by every zone. Railway

officials are also happy with this decision because it has allowed to considerably clear rush without unnecessarily putting load on tracks. This year will achieve highest permanent augmentations compared to any previous year by a huge margin.

Agreed very much.. I hope he even introduces system of stopping trains which despite all measures have failed to garner minimum patronage . This will free up more coaches, locos, LPs and slots.
