k.radhakrishnan 1 blog postsI have small query about train LTT-Madurai Exp. (T.No. 11043). This train reaches Chengalpattu around 1 AM and arrive at Villupuram at 0505 hrs.
Why it takes 4 hours from Chengalpattu to Villupuram? Many times it has been halted outer of Villupuram Jn. for around 2 and half hours.
I don't understand the logic behind this.

From 1 to 5 early morning this train gives way for 10 trains namely salem express,pandian exp,RF EXP,nellai exp,pearl city exp,pothigai,ananthpuri,thirukural,etc....This is the reason behind it....
Almost all MS-bound trains from S. TN cross this between VM and CGL, hence the trolling. The situation is likely to improve when FEDL is done. Likewise, the distance of just around 60 km between DG and MDU is covered in two hours. Enough slack to make over any delay.
