There is no error in the TT here. Schedule-wise this train is supposed to reach VM at 4:05PM while Vaigai is supposed to leave by 3:50PM. And since both trains go in different routes after VM, there is no crossing possible. Most likely this train reached before time VM on your trip and that's why there was a crossing in VM.
