swarishs 1 blog postsOn 21st Apr, day before "good friday" i was trying to board this train from ERN ... I had my reservation for coach D10. Train came 1 hour late...i.e by 7.05...There was almost sea of people in the station...Another interesting thing is that almost all person in D10 is about to get down and whole D10 was again going to fill...the time ticks as whole the people gets down...though i was fourth person to get in...as i just entered train started to move...almost whole people who want to board was still waiting...
There were lot of pandemonium ...people crying and so on...suddenly some one pulled chain...train stops and halts for 20 min..

My parents travelled in SHM-HYB Special last week. The train was running late by 3 hours and it stopped for 1 min instead of 5 mins at BBS and my family struggled to board B1 in which there were 20+ people boarding from BBS.

I was under the impression that guard keeps an eye on doors and gives signal when people have boarded. But I guess they do not do it anymore. Once a guard had told me that they do this at short stoppages.
