If so, then why did CLW create a separate class for passenger trains?
Because P locos are designed keeping higher top speed and faster acceleration in mind, goods locos are desgined for high tonne haulage and heavy torque.....There purposes are different.
But if you attach a lighter passenger rake to a Goods, you will be surpised at the accleration goods locos can pull off, however they can't reach the top speed of say a P1/4/5/7!
