now that Mumbai & Maharashtra were won by the ruling party and no sub-urban network present in poll bound Bihar,the populist Mr Prabhu (who rolled back similar hike before Maharashtra elections) will rise in new reformist avatar. Brace-up for a fare hike on busy commuter trains !!
upto 10% annual hike is ok but it should be complemented with regular ticket checking exercise in the compartments during peak hours. else it will be equivalent to taxing the honest passengers.
