they themselves are confused regarding fare structure, stupidity 3A fare higher than 2A
our IR top commercial officials should be awarded with best pricing experts in the world. They are not only making fun of themselves but IR and our country as well. Non sense.
For Suvidha there is a fixed pattern of fare structure can say slab system...When 3AC coaches are pretty high in count as the bookings keep coming in the fare is invariably goes higher than 2AC where in demand could be slightly less than 3AC.
With a little bit of economical understanding, its not tough to understand this situation. The current fares that we see on the 2 classes is based on a pre-set algorithm and simply takes into account the demand factor vs supply available. For this to be sorted out, it would require manual intervention of officials at every instance which is difficult. BTW, there are many times when the executive seats of an aircraft are priced less than those of the economy, simply because there are no takers for the 'pricey' class, but what the passengers are actually doing is to create a rush in the lower class which soars the prices to an equivalent price or more than that of the executive seats. Its a world-wide practice followed by any organisation which intends to be commercially viable. Its in existence since early 1900s. IR has started doing it in 2015.
