Saving non-renewable Fossil Fuels like Diesel should be IR's top most priority!
Running Diesel train, especially the 'Jurassic aged' ALCO's on fully electrified tracks makes no sense!
The HWH-BPL Weekly can easily run upto DHN/BRKA with a electric locomotive and then change over to Diesel!
Similar case can be said of the RNC-DMKA intercity! The Diesel loco can be attached at DHN/JSME!

DHN-BBS GR, instead of a VSKP- ALCO doing the hauling duties, an electric loco can easily haul this train from DHN-ROU, and then Diesel from ROU-BBS!
Why is IR not taking this steps already is surprising, considering the fact that Diesel is scarce and expenive!

3.6 l per hour vs 5km/l during a normal run, a normal run usually means 60 kms, so that adds fuel consumption of 300 litres normally.
That is a whole lot of difference.
