This train in around 2003-2004 used to run from Sealdah to Barauni via Katihar, and later its terminal was changed to Saharsa.

And If I'm not wrong before BJU extension, this train used to run b/w KIR-SDAH, which was extended to BJU in 2000-1 because of political interference :)
Yes! It was Katihar's train and now also it is Katihar's train. 80% pax book from KIR.

But the only issue is Katihar pax has to book their tickets from Semapur to get GN quota ticket.. But I guess that's ok as now it also connects KIR with Saharsa with Intercity type timings..

Is any detachment of coaches occur at KIR in this train???
Becoz I have seen that there is a GN coach between the sleepers in this train
