DoI need to be physicallypresent at the time of tatkal booking at PRS..? Senior members please reply ASAP..

No. It is absolutely ok if your father purchases the ticket for you.
I don't think so. I once booked a tatkal ticket at a PRS counter on my uncle's behalf by taking along a photocopy of his ID proof along with his signature on it. I faced no problem in booking the ticket though the the clerk asked question on our relationship. I would though recommend you to be physically present at the counter.
So the chance for tatkal will be more for daily train or once in a week train? As Im willing to book a ticket from PUNE to NGP or LTT to G.
