Prakash M Sundaram 125 blog posts12842 is being chased closely by 12246. 12246 is running to time and is just 20kms behind 12842. Will SER allow 12842 to reach HWH first or will 12246 be allowed to overtake the late running 12842?
12842 seems to have reached HWH. The train seems to have an aggressive run between KGP and HWH. Sensible decision by the section controllers to allow 12842 to make up time yet not delay 12246 in the process.
Overtaking coromandel in SER territory is not a joke..
And a late running coromandel is even more aggressive and more tougher to overtake by any VIP train specially in SER..
In SER coromandel even overtakes PURI shatabdi which sums it up how much priority the SER controllers give to coromandel..

Very nice to hear that, I used to travel in Coromandel very often during my childhood. But have not traveled in that train since 1986.
