total length of tunnel is 1.8 Kms of which arround 900 meters is done... and currently work has been started from both ends of the tunnel by two different contractors and its going at brisk speed... hope in next 6 months they will complete the tunnel digging works and remaining few months will require for other works inside tunnel...

There are many hills enroute between Gulbarga and Bidar they start just after Kamalapur(in Gulbarga District) and stretches over till Humnabad/Bidar... I believe Bidar is on higher altitude than Gulbarga.. This particular Hill is at Margutti village in Gulbarga district... (no name as such)
