Ridiculing the crawling speed of the only daily train between Gaya and New Delhi (Mahabodhi Express is the only Delhi bound train originating from Gaya station), Grand Chord Passengers Association President DK Jain has officially complained to the Railway Minister SN Prabhu. A copy of the complaint has also been forwarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This surely does not fit in with the 'Achche Din' promise made by the PM, said Jain in the complaint.
{{~>D K Jain has also demanded restoration of the train's original running schedule. As per the original schedule, Mahabodhi Express used to leave New Delhi Railway station at 14.20 in the afternoon. Now it leaves Delhi at 12.10, which, in effect means that one whole working day is lost for Gaya bound passengers as they can do little in Delhi on the journey day. The earlier schedule provided half working day to the travellers in Delhi.
{{}}~>The Passenger Body chief also demanded restoration of the third rake to maintain the running schedule of the train. The third rake, according to Jain has been withdrawn, thereby causing avoidable delays. <~~{{}}
~~>The petition addressed to the Railway Minister also demands addition of two more AC III and one more AC II coach in the said train to cope with the requirements of the passenger traffic.
