Duronto takes 6 hr 40 min from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. Whereas Shatabdi takes 6 hr 45 min. Duronto is shown as fastest even though difference is just 5 minutes. However the facts are not fully considered and speed claim is illusory and unjustified. Shatabdi takes halts in between Mumbai - Ahmedabad and the total time takes in halts is 20 minutes (All halts times put together). Considering these facts, the duronto should have resulted into lesser travel time by atleast 25 -30 minutes. This is not so and hence according fastest status to duronto is not justified at all. Stop at Borivali would, as apprehended, would not go against the duronto word. Duronto means Turant and it will remain Turant even a stop of2 min is provided at Borivali in both the direction.
