I have booked a confirmed ticket for 27thNov(Friday) from Mettupalayam to Chennai Central. Unfortunately, i forgot to change the boarding station to CBE. Is it mandatory to change the boarding station (or) is it ok if i board the train @CBE station?
You can go to nearest PRS and change the Boarding point to CBE before 26th Nov. TTE might allot the berth to some one else if you are not present.
Mostly Up to a reasonable time or till the next stop(by next halt comes first within 20 km) TTE will wait i guess. But like Srikanth said it is always safe to go to PRS centre and do the necessary changes. So that u can peacefully start your journey.
