Mumbai-Bijapur/Shirdi Fast Passenger arrived at Pune on Thursday, 26-Nov-2015, at early morning hours, with off-link loco very dirty and unclean blue/black WAP4 shell type BIA WAG7 # 28357 AC Power!

Yes! 30054 is the loco of ADI-Pune-ADI Duronto and it will haul today night's outgoing Duranto to Ahmedabad. In first photo, the loco we see next to Bhilai WAG-7 Power is Amul BRC WAP5 # 30054!
This Bhilai WAG-7 was present at Pune Station on Friday, 27-Nov-2015, at night 22:10 hrs! It was getting ready, most probably to haul back Shirdi-Mumbai Fast Passenger later (from Pune to Mumbai)!
I wanted to know what is that thing which is put on the catenary wire as is seen in pic 1 on the wires above WAG7. And why is it kept there?
