It is amazing that the distance from Patna to Howrah through the main line (PNBE-ASN-HWH) is 532kms while the same thorough the Grand Chord (PNBE-GAYA-DHN-HWH) is 551kms, only longer by 19kms. It just shows how amazinginly well positioned the Grand Chord line is.
