RM Suresh Prabhu has given positive reply on the formation of new line Solapur - Tuljapur - Usmanabad - Beed - Aurangabad - Jalgaon.
It will save 150 Km distance which connects North India to South India.

Just a small correction. GR BIDR new line is 104 km, not 140. So the route length to LTRR will be ~220km. I was assuming the proposed GR LTRR route will go via LUR, ( the more useful alignment in my opinion, than a direct line to LTRR), in which case, the total distance to LTRR will be around 190 km ( by road via LUR is around 175 km). In that case the distance saved would be less, around 30km. But it'll be a good alternative route, giving direct connectivity to LUR.
