Stop the non-sense discussion here. This train is meant for Salem which is 5th largest city of Tamilnadu state! No extension of this train anywhere. It is like Cheran/Nilagiri express for Coimbatore, Yercaud express for Erode, Pandian express for Madurai, Rockfort express for Trichy.
Train enjoys good patronage. But poor this train is either being canceled or runs late for 6-7hrs for many days!

Main problem is it has a RSA with MS-Dadar Superfast. So if that train is late this will be delayed as time gap between arrival of dadar and departure of this train is just 3 hours
Like RockFort Express diving two in Trichi, this train also can be divided into two and extend it to calicut without any stop in Taminadu.
