Here is my capture of the AP Exp. in 1995 while I was in the BPL Shatabdi loco. Led by a fancy looking WAP1, all 21 coaches had a uniform cream-brown livery and it was doing good speed even in heavy train.

- In the very beginning, AP Exp. had an oxide blue with white stripe livery. SCR used this livery for a few other prestigious/SF trains such as Minar Exp., Golconda Exp., Bombay-Hyderabad Exp. and some MG trains as well.
- In the mid to late 80s, it got a orange-with-cream-band-across-windows livery. Other Southbound trains such as TN/Kerala/Karnataka/GT also had this livery.
- In the mid 90s, it got the cream-brown livery seen in my video. Again, TN/Kerala/Karnakata also got this livery and other trains as well.
