I travelled by 2216 on 27.12. from BVI to DEE by 3A hauled by TKD Diesel.
This train has still got SMBs and have not been removed. The coach 09120 was manufactured in Kapurthala in Jun 09. The coaches were clean while boarding and during journey also people did not throw their wastes inside the compartment. thank god for small mercies. Toilets were also clean, a small fan (with on/off switch) and an exhaust fan (small one) which was running all through the journey were good additions. Water never went dry in the toilets throughout the journey. There is a provision of cleaning in the toilets by hand shower type dispensers which is a well thought out one. ...

The coach attendant gave blankets on first served basis, but it ran out of stock after some time. I noticed that some passengers paid money for bed roll sets and got down at intermediate stations. The next passenger who came used the same woolen blankets and beddings free of cost. Neither the old passenger nor the attendant took away the set in between. Jai Ho.
Tea/Coffee, snacks were served throughout and night dinner consisting of Roti, Sabzi, and Veg Briyani were served. They charged 80/- for one set consisting of 4 Roti, Sabzi and Veg Briyani.
The train maintained its time and in some areas were late by 20mts due to crossings (single track) after jaipur. Later it made up by 10 mts and was late by only 10 mts when it reached DEE. Overall a nice train to travel. Many short distance travellers like BDTS-AHD, BDTS-ABR, travelled in this train.
In case you do not get the mainline trains, there is a good alternative in this train to reach Mumbai or Delhi. It takes almost 23 hrs which is equivalent to other SF on the main route. Some more trains can be introduced in this NDLS-Jaipur-AHD route so that some pressure may ease off in the Kota-BRC route. Thanks.
