Kanchanjungha Express train presently running between Guwahati and Sealdah will be extended to run up to Silchar thrice a week as Link Kanchanjungha Express. Accordingly, 25658 DN Silchar – Guwahati Link Kanchanjungha Express will leave Silchar at 09-45 hrs. on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday w.e.f. 01-02-2016 to arrive Guwahati at 22-25 hrs. While 25657 UP Guwahati – Silchar Link Kanchanjungha Express will leave from Guwahati at 04-35 hrs every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to arrive Silchar at 16-40 hrs w.e.f. 02-02-2016. The Link Kanchanjungha Express will run via Patharkhola – Mandardisa section and have stoppages at Badarpur and New Halflong stations. The Link Kanchanjungha Express will have AC 2 tier, AC 3 tier, Sleeper class, Chair car and general second class accommodations.

yup!!!!No chances of reduction in stoppages and hope there is a new Bi-weekly Train from Sealdah to Silchar!!!

only 2 stops btwn SCL & GHY... bt even slower than 55616...
1 hr can be speeded up since there no reversal in LMG

Ya....cant understand why have they not speeded it up.They could have easily covered it within 10hrs flat!!!Strange.....
