the other side of Howrah Bridge. Where as Princepghat is across hoogly on the strand road somewhat near to Babooghat. You can take ferry service to cross the hoogly. Yes its bit sightseeing kind of but a real heaven for railfans. The Kolkata circular railway frequency is very less throughout the day (hardly 12-13 trains a day), so plan accordingly. Or else Prepaid Taxi take nearly Rs 150 for this journey.
Buses for Chitpur are very very bleak in amount. So kindly don't opt for this.
