Shri H,K.Jaggi, General Manager, N.F.Railway has awarded two mail/express drivers for showing alertness and devotion to duty. Shri Sanjeev Banerjee, Loco Pilot and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Asst. Loco Pilot while piloting the 15959 up Kamrup Express on 02.02.2016 from Malda Town to New Jalpaiguri suddenly noticed huge flame coming out from the train engine just after passing the Hatwar station near Kishanganj. Both the Loco Pilot and the Asst. Loco Pilot took timely action by showing alertness and cleared the section. They managed to shut down the engine and douse the fire by using five fire extinguishers and thus prevented a major accident.

Loco Pilot Second Pic has been awarded Rs. 5,000/- (rupees five thousand) each yesterday by Shri H,K.Jaggi, General Manager, N.F.Railway at Maligaon in recognition of their meritorious service. Shri Alok Kumar Tewari, Chief Safety Officer, N.F.Railway were also present.
