in my recent travel in 01066 ernakulam - ltt special, i caught my train travelling at 110 kmph between mangalore and madgaon with assistance from my phone's GPS drive navigation.
is the speed shown there based on inflated distance on konkan rly or was the spl zooming up.... to be honest i felt the speed as i was standing in the doorway

should be inflated distance, as during monsoon periods the MPS allocated is only 80 KMPH.
using your own GPS devices for calculating speed often leads to errors please.
