SCR has proposed extension of Ajanta Exp upto Shirdi as against the proposal of extension upto Mumbai. Another option proposed by SCR officials is to run a new train using Ajanta rake to mumbai instead of keeping it idle at Manmad. In short SCR does not want extension of Ajanta to Mumbai as according to them the occupancy of this train is 105% on SC-MMR route.
Thought comes to mind is -
Is really SCR not paying attention to Marathwada pax by not extending Ajanta to Mumbai? But how would Marathwada pax...

get benefit if this train is extended to Mumbai because the timings would not be appropriate as this train would reach Mumbai around 12 in the noon. And there is Janshatabdi daily at the same timings. So is really extension needed as it would just increase burden on CR line and passengers (end to end and also from Marathwada) would not prefer this train.
Thinking of Marathwada pax SCR is soon extending Nanded Pune triweekly upto Panvel with revision in timings and increase in frequency. This train willl be helpful as the timings are passenger friendly. So I really feel that it is unfair to say SCR is not paying attention to Marathwada people.
What are your views on this?
