It is a Proven Fact That Electric Locos actually are more responsible for creating Pollution Than their Diesel Counter-parts. Moreover Diesel Traction is any day better than Electric as it can reach everywhere.........Secondly What is the Point Of Electrifying a Single Line Section ????? Moreover Diesel Locos can carry a much much higher load than Electric locos of more HP . The Main Cause For Electrification in India is making a fool out of people to showcase Development. Whereas it is of no use because you are wasting Thousands Of Crores Of Rupess for Electrification . Then a EMD Costs Only 5 Crores whereas a WAP 7 costs between 10-15 crores. Moreover Major Countries like USA , Canada , Australia , China , Russia are not in favour of Electrification. Only Where High Speed Operations Of Above 200Kmph or more is done is there a need for Electrification and Electric...
