Maintenance is still manageable , but the main problem is very less TAT at ANVT which causes the 22858 to start on time from ANVT. If RB somehow changes its Departure Timings from ANVT to be late in the evening, then it can surely be able to arrive SRC by night 10-11pm and they can also extend it to HWH as after 11pm , the SER side becomes bit vacant as all major night departure (like Mail,Azadhind,Puri trains etc) would have already left HWH.
The problem with late departure from ANVT is that the evening slot is too full on that route. In either case, IR would have to reschedule the train to late evening(after Rajdhani gang) to make it any sense to run.
Thats what i am saying....The departure could be made late evening or may be at night after the Purushottam departure from delhi.
If departure is made about 11pm from ANVT , then its scheduled arrival time at SRC can be made 3-4 am (adding delays it could arrive SRC by
6-7 am morning) which is very brilliant.

These points are very useful for passengers from other parts of India who are traveling for the first time between Calcutta and New Delhi. Even foreign tourists can go through these points to get an actual idea (although many of them travel from Calcutta to Gaya, then Gaya to Varanasi, Varanasi to Allahabad, Allahabad to Mathura and then to New Delhi)... thanks :)
I think 12323/24 too is very poor in punctuality with Kalka mail OT it occassionally b4 MGS (Re-ot after MGS though) but a terrible delay in both sides should bring this train to less preferable.
