Substation work is yet to begin at Charvattur and Uppala. Also, Mangalore Junction-Thokur doubling has to be completed and electrified. Also sub station at Thokur has to be constructed. Only then, trains will run with electric locos.
why thokur is considered,is the any particular reason behind it like place constraint or shed

Because the main intention of electrification is freight transport to/from NMPT which is near Thokur.
Intention may be mainly for freight,but once the electrification completed till MAJN and MAQ then loco change can happen it seems.
Off course railways can think let complete the balance section till thokur and start using E Locos,bcz it may delay the process some times if patch work is not completed.

Maybe Loco change might happen in Kozhikode, But idk whether there is and E-Loco Tripshed at Kozhikode.
