I have traveled by this train a couple of times, the MPS stenciled on the coaches is 160 kmph, but i don't understand why it's limited to 110 kmph ? Are there any chances of speeding this train up in next time table change ? And when is the next time table change going to be announced ?
KMT, PDP, RDM, SKZR and CD stops may not be required. Speed can be improved a lot!
Realistically speaking halts removal will probably never happen! But based on my few trips on this train only PDPL, CD had almost NIL passengers (didn't observe at SKZR), rest of the stops are having atleast some patronage. Considering that it's fully AC, patronage will anyway not be great in this route, atleast when it's not a good alternative to any other good train in terms of timings/speed! But the solution is not adding stops at stations which don't have good AC demand.
Could be. Whoever designed this TT has no sense whatsoever. How far are PDP and RDM apart? bareley 18km. People in small towns do not prefer AC trains, that is why removal of small stops and increase in speed will increase patronage from bigger cities. Hope our railways get rid off this "congi" style thinking soon.
PDPL is a purely political stop. I think Peddapalli MP successfully lobbied, hence it was given halt from the start.
Might be something similar for CD (14 Km from BPQ) with a 3-Minute halt vs RDM,KMT only 1-Minute halt officially :P
