WAP 4 was and is always good ( my fav due to its livery) for non stop trains. It can do 130kmph and maintain it but with time technology improves and result is three phase locos WAP 5 and 7 which are better in terms of power consumption and acceleration.
Definitely agree wid u, P 5/7 are future now but P 4 livery is good ( atleast for me especially if P4 is new or freshly painted).
